You take a deep, long breath and suddenly launch yourself forward, down the flower path. You hear wails behind you, but run even faster. But suddenly it feels different...

It feels like dying... Coldness spreads through you, and someone's icy breath stings your skin. You can no longer run, and collapse into the prickly grass. You pant for breath as you turn your head just enough to see the hood that shrouds the face with darkness, which makes the gleaming, red eyes even more terrifying.

It touches your hand, and you gasp as you feel the blood stop running in that spot. The wraith suddenly clutches your arm, and one last sigh escapes you as your eyes fill with darkness... (Scroll down.)

Suddenly, you feel alive. Your vision clears, and you notice a white, ghostly shape standing over you. With relief you realise it is a unicorn. With despair you realise the unicorn is a ghost. Your despair vanishes as you recall Ethiexa telling you about the friendly unicorn ghost who lives here and helps travellers.

Of course, you have to ask one of the traditional waking-up questions,

"Whaaat happened?"

The unicorn answers. Her voice is clear, but sounds quiet, as if heard from afar,

"The wraith drained most of your energy and was going to destroy you, but I cast it away..."

You thank the unicorn, then ask,

"What happened to Ethiexa? Is she... dead?" To your relief, the unicorn shakes her head,

"No. The herd banned her from the forest, and she will now live in the Black Stripe Forests..."

"How do I get out of here?" you ask. The unicorn steps closer and touches your forehead with her horn. It feels cold, but the nice sort of cold, not the deathly cold still fresh in your mind.

"My blessing will protect you for about an hour... Use this time wisely..."

Suddenly, the pleasant unicorn disappears.

Use this time wisely and move on
