"Before you adopt one of our unicorns," said Kaytara, "there are things you need to know and do. First, you must promise to take good care of your unicorn, as these are among the last. Second, you must set up a page running - it must be a quiet, nice page, not one where rock music never stops playing. Then you can adopt. When you adopt (take and 'save as') one of the fawns, E-mail Kat, and give her your name and fawn's page's URL, once you've put the fawn on there. This is not for celebration purposes, but so that she can allow your fawn to mature.

On the fawn's page you must include its name, gender (which you choose), and a link to this site.

If you want to breed your mature unicorn, then E-mail Kat, she'll know what to do.

Now, here are the adoptables." You look and see the cutest creatures imaginable, and also understand why they're called 'fawns'.

"Below are what we call 'unknown star' fawns, and have been noticed to have extraordinary powers. They also grow up to be different than the other unicorns. Each also has a unique tatoo on her chest. If you adopt one of these, you're not allowed to change his/her name, (but if you really hate it you can e-mail Kat for permission) and you'll also sometimes get e-mails with descriptions of strange events (just for fun). (For example: 'Suddenly Sinona stares at the flower, and you watch it spring to life again, in awe'.) Of course, when you e-mail Kat to inform her you've adopted, you can ask her not to send you fun e-mails."

Unknown Stars (limited editition):

Sinona the Sky-eyed is very fast and nimble, and sometimes her presence improves the weather. Her special features are her sky-blue eyes.

Elemis the Huntress, her name coming from a Greek goddess of hunting named Artemis, is swift, and has very acute hearing, with great skills of soundless movement in the forest. She has leaf-green eyes and a spiralled horn (a sign of power), a strange feature for a Nyfrit-horn.

Eowyn of the Blizzard has got a noticed love for winter. Some feel cold when she is around. She can increase her speed up to the speed of a falling stone.
