Ethiexa looks surprised at your wish.

"I didn't know you like it here," she says. "Well, let's go on then. Just don't stray away from me for more than five steps."

You nod.

As you venture you keep hearing strange and spooky noises, which sound like moans and sighs.

"Halloween's still fresh in their minds," explains Ethiexa.

"In whose minds?" you ask.

"Ghosts... and ghouls... and..." she stopped. "Wraiths. If you ever see one... run for your life. Even Kaytara fears an encounter with a wraith."

"What do wraiths do?" you ask.

"I suggest you not try to find out. But rumours say... although no one has lived to prove it, of course, that with a spell, or a touch, or something else they can drain all the energy out of you, then eat you."

You feel cold.

"What do they look like?" you ask.

"Like a toren cloack that glides above the ground. You cannot see the head, just the glowing red eyes. Oh, you know," she suddenly seems more alive, "you might sometimes see dark faeponies here. Just don't mind those. They're all from the Elysian Woods."

You begin to regret going here, but you don't want to look like a coward. Although... life is more important, isn't it? You can still turn back now. Or proceed deeper into the forest (scroll down).

Suddenly you hear a moan not very far from you, and flinch. A shadow... of something flits past you.

"What was that?! Was that..." you ask Ethiexa, for a moment very afraid.

"No, that wasn't a wraith, that was a ghoul. They're quite harmless shadows, although you still don't want to meet one on your own. If you do, a ghoul might summon up some more of his kind and strangle you to death.

"Is there anything friendly here?" you moan in despair.

"Yes, there is," Ethiexa nods. "There's a lone ghost of a young unicorn who got strangled by those ghouls, and she tries to help people like you. She hates this place, but since she's a ghost she can't leave the place where she died."

You feel a chill at the thought that even a unicorn can't be safe here.

"Oh ugh," says Ethiexa. You look where she's looking, and see nightmares... Lots of them. They approach you, forming a tight ring. One of them says to Ethiexa,

"Eshiexe, we haven't had a fresh blood meal for months, now you're not only stopping us from eating it, but actually letting it invade our territory!"

Ethiexa changes her position to defend you in case they attack . Another nightmare says,

"Eshiexe, may the shadows know, your flesh isn't bad to taste either."

A dangerous murmur goes through the nightmares. Meanwhile Ethiexa whispers to you,

"On my bac." She whispered 'bac' instead of 'back' because the solid 'k' had is easier to hear in a whisper. You quickly spring onto her back, as one of the nightmares neighs,

"They're escaping!"

Ethiexa rears, flapping her wings, and takes off, just as you manage to position your legs so you don't fall. For one happy second you feel as if you're escaping, but more wings flap like thunder and the whole herd of nightmares is flying after you. Ethiexa says brief words, trying to save breath,

"North... to Grasslands... when I land..."

She has said enough for you to understand that you need to go north to the Bunny's Grasslands, where you'll be safe, as soon as she lands.

Ethiexa extends her wings, and she slows down as you feel the air rush at you. You spring off her back and hesitate, but she pushes you away, whispering,

"Run to north!"

You nod and run as fast as you can. You hear screams and neighs behind you, but don't look back. After what seemed like a year of running, you stop, panting, and realise you really don't know where the north is.

Oh, great. Now what do you do?

Look for colourful flowers to lead you back to the Stone Field
